The Green Room - Issue 3 - The Larder
This year has been insane right?! 8 weeks before the first lockdown I opened The Greenhouse. Then lockdown and well, I was heartbroken, and I would be lying if I said I wasn't this time. I can't open in November, a month that should of made up for the last lockdown.
A lot has changed in the last 10 months, and so have I. If only I could talk to that pre COVID Annie, tell her of the strength that she was about to uncover, the friends she was about to make, about the laughs and the tears! However I have to say that discovering all that has me pumped for the next chapter of my life!!
A month or six ago I was sat in a meeting/eating cake, with two girls, one is a total girl boss in her own right and the other has been bossing it for other people for what seems like forever. We had this amazing idea of a refill shop right here on Crown Street. Then the space we wanted went and we struggled to find something as perfect. Then three weeks ago that space became available again...
We are opening a refill shop! No. 24 Crown Street!
Now, although this has been in the works for some time the last three weeks has been a sprint and we want to get it open for you 1st December.
We need your help, and I don't ask lightly. Setting up this kind of shop is expensive but the reward for the community and environment are massive. We want this be a true community project. Knowing how amazing you have all done with the Fill station and the love you have for it and how much single use plastic we’ve already saved from landfill has just cemented that this needs to open!
If you can help us, we would be so appreciative. Take a look at our project page and if you have any questions at all please feel free to send us a message or ask me directly.
